For me it's about being organised and prioritising the tasks. At the start of every day I list out the tasks that need to be completed and I focus on those first. Don't get distracted and don't be afraid to log out of your emails so you can focus.
I have a very supportive team and we are encouraged to speak up if we need help or are struggling with a deadline. You also need to be realistic - don't agree to or set yourself deadlines that you won't meet. And if you are struggling with your workload, say so before it becomes an issue. Colleagues are very understanding.
Also, my workload fluctuates depending on the project I am working on. Some weeks will be very busy when it's getting close to project going live so I can manage my workload and home-life accordingly. But you know it's short-term and I enjoy the sense of achievement when a project is delivered!
