Railway Operations Management
When I first joined Network Rail, there wasn't a culture around D&I at all, yet since 2013 that's changed. We now have our Everyone Matters strategy on Diversity and Inclusion. As part of that we have 7 employee network groups, run by our employees for our employees. We also have 2500+ Diversity and Inclusion champions who are visible, supportive and able to sign post colleagues as appropriate. Finally, we also have mandated eLearning on Diversity and Inclusion that all employees must do. All these things combined are helping make Network Rail a place that's far more inclusive and also gradually becoming more represenative of the communities we serve across Great Britain.
