I live down towards Truro, if I joined Plymouth for the 3 year course would I be able to transfer to a local depot after

I would also like to know if there are other depots near Truro?

Each depot requests an apprentice to join them in a specific discipline (Signalling, Track etc). It would then be down to looking if there is a requirement in another depot who would be looking for an apprentice in your discipline. It would mainly be down to local managers. I live in Yorkshire so don't know of the depots in Cornwall I'm afraid

Hi, i am currently in Plymouth, and have moved depots in the past. I would say focus on staying at the Plymouth for the majority of the apprenticeship and then you can look at local positions that will be advertised on the jobs page. You can change during the apprenticeship, but it can be complicated due to the paperwork and finances associated with a depot taking on an apprentice

Mark, the company does hire twice a year. there is a September intake and a March intake.

Will Truro open in September?

Or will there be more openings in general in Cornwall?

I have also already passed in level 3 engineering at college, will this give me extra chance of being chosen in the CV interview stage
