Hi George. Great question and a big pull for me it's a sense of purpose, knowing you are part of something really important for Britain. We Matter to Millions is a key message for us, and if you join you'd share in that. Of course there are other important things - I've found the people at Network Rail to be welcoming and supportive, and I've also had loads of training and development over the years. It's a huge industry so that means lots of opportunity.

Hi George. For me it has to be the people, the support available (training and wellbeing) and the flexibility. When I joined in March 2020 colleagues were very welcoming and took the time to explain how the business worked and were always happy. I have been so impressed with the support available for colleagues. There are lots of webinars and workshops available to support colleagues mental health and wellbeing and five employee networks. We also have Diversity and Inclusion champions and Mental Health First Aiders - these are colleague who volunteer their time to support anyone in Network Rail. They are so passionate about making Network Rail an inclusive and supportive place to work and it motivated me to become a Diversity and Inclusion lead in the team I work in.

Hi, For me, Network Rail has supported me through different roles and across the business. I started off in Document control and through exposure and working in varied teams I have been able to understand what jobs could suit me and my skills. Network Rail has also been great about making relevant training avaliable to help me in new roles. Network Rail has such a varied number of roles that you can join as one role and decide to work into a completely different one! From people on track to laywers to enviromental specialists.
