Day to day I work with a team to install new equipment that is associated with the signalling system we use. This is predominantly relays, data loggers and the associated wiring for these.

You apply centrally through Network Rail's careers website. You are assigned to a particular vocation (e.g. Signalling, Track, Overhead Lines, Distribution & Plant or Off-Track) however you can spend time and work with other teams to gain a wider knowledge and experience should you wish to go down a different path within Network Rail.
